The Genevieve orders have been collected and will come in after the tag sale is over.

The next order of business was to review the PTC events for the rest of the year.
Deadline for Box Tops is October 15th.

Hannaford extra receipts can be placed in the slot under Line School or turned in at school.

Last years International night timing was bad but a success.
At the next staff meeting Amy Samson will ask the teachers when they would prefer to have International night.

There was a motion and vote approving to do away with Square One art this year.

The Spell-a-thon will go on as usual this year.
A motion and vote was made in favor of going forth with the remaining PTC events for the year: Staff Appreciation Week, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, and Field Day.

Amy Samson represented the Spirit Committee and presented the idea of ordering T-shirts for all the students in the school.
There was a motion that was approved to move forward with PTC purchasing the shirts.
A notice went home at the beginning of the year that each month there will be a pep-rally and students of every grade level wear a shirt that is the color designated for their grade level.

The PTC agreed to accept donations for the grade level shirts but to assure that all students get one payment will not be mandatory.

I wanted you let you know that the T-shirts have been ordered and will hopefully be in before our spirit day on the 18th. We got some better prices after increasing the number of shirts to be ordered and we got some nice donations as well. I don't have the final total, but Brenda is ready to write the check when the Shirts are ready. She has already deposited all of the money that was collected.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I asked the staff about International Night and for the response I got, they would rather have it in April or May instead of March. We have report cards and things going on then. Can we schedule the Book Fair at the same time? We were in agreement that it was nice to set that up in the Gym the same night.
I won't be able to make the Meeting on Wednesday due to a Parent-Teacher Conference, so I wanted to report out! Let me know if there is anything else you need!
